Facilities: - Beach shop, parking, toilets, refreshments, otherwise, five minutes drive down a very narrow lane (careful) back to Croyde.

Safety: - the beach is patrolled by lifeguards during the holiday season, with areas designated for bathing.

The Surfing Beach: - a west facing beach break at the south end of Woolacombe beach. Quite good protection from southerly winds in this corner. Crowded when the south wind is strong, but lots of scope for moving up the beach to find your own peaks. Works at all states of tide and can be a long paddle out.
